18 year old Musa Konneh was strip searched and jailed before police realised he’d been falsely arrested. The police blame their computers for the unlawful mistake. As a result a class action has been filed in the Supreme Court against the NSW government over this and other detentions. The case will be lead by the Public Interest Advocacy Centre and Maurice Blackburn Lawyers. Both groups have called on the government to apologise and compensate those affected.
