Young people are thought to be particularly susceptible to problem betting and gambling, and this is the focus for Australian researchers in a new study.

Researchers from the Australian National University (ANU) aim to enhance understanding of online betting and gambling habits involving young adults in the Australian Capital Territory.

The study hopes to understand the pathways leading to gambling and prevent people from experiencing gambling harm in the future.

The Wire’s Toni Pankaluic spoke with Dr Aino Suomi, Director of the Centre for Gambling Research at the ANU Centre for Social Research and Methods to find out more.
