Being forced to live in aged care is something no young person should have to endure. But it’s the reality for over 1000 young Australians under 50, who have serious ailments which have left them with nowhere else to go. In 2006 the Australian Government funded a five-year plan injecting $244 million into getting young people appropriate care. The Summer Foundation has released a report on how this is going.
