She may be known for her playful role as a children’s presenter for The Wiggles, but Emma Watkins is using her platform to advocate for causes close to her heart.

The Indigenous sign language of Yolngu will be formed into a comprehensive book led by project manager Dr Bentley James.

Without knowing how many aboriginal sign languages have been lost over time, both James and Watkins believe protecting the intricate language is crucial to indigenous culture.
