The Australian Building and Contruction Commission bill, which triggered the July double dissolution election, passed the Senate on Wednesday 30 November, with support from Nick Xenophon. Xenophon came under fire after backing down on making a water deal for the Murray-Darling Basin, a condition for his support of the bill. Here, Senator Nick Xenophon explains his decision in supporting the legislation.
