The World Wildlife Fund’s just released Living Planet report says basically the earth is running up an ecological credit card and may need to find another planet or two to repay the resources if consumption continues at the present rate. Of 152 countries Australia is the 8th highest consumer, with 7 hectares needed to support the average Australian’s lifestyklle, compared to one and a half for a Chinese person.
