The World Toilet Organisation is once again celebrating World toilet Day looking at raising awareness to the lack of hygienic sanitation in many countries world wide.

More than 40 per cent of the world population don’t have access to a hygienic toilet.That’s more that 2.6 Billion people world wide that don’t have access to something that the rest of us take for granted.On November 19th the importance of sanitation and good hygiene is celebrated with the tenth anniversary of World Toilet Day, an event set up by The World Toilet Organisation in 2001 to raise awareness for the millions of lives lost due to lack of sanitation.The Singapore based non-profit organisation created the event in response to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals to improve the standard of living in third world countries.
