Carers, those with disabilities, over 55 year-olds, and domestic violence victims could have new worplace rights under the government’s latest proposals.

This announcement is the second part of the government’s response to their Fair Work review.  But some experts say that the proposals are ineffective and impractical, with no appeal mechanisms for employees to dispute inflexible bosses. Small business representatives are disappointed by the effects the proposed legislation will have on their business.
