Australian workplaces unprepared for heat stress risk

New research published this week by The Australia Institute’s Centre for Future Work has explored why working in extreme heat is a growing and urgent issue for workers, and what can be done by Governments and workplaces to mitigate these risks.

The report found despite the severity of the health and safety risks, employers often expect workers to continue working in the heat and current labour protections are inadequate.
