Workers protest against anti-union laws

Workers rallied around Australia today in support of a rigger facing 6 months jail for refusing an interrogation with the Australian Building Construction Commission. In 2008, South Australian Ark Tribe and fellow workers raised concerns with their Union that the site they were working on was unsafe. The ABCC then requested an interview with Tribe, asking him to reveal what he and his workmates said at the meeting with the union. Tribe refused to participate and could now be the first person to be imprisoned under Industrial Relations laws.
