The results of the first Australian survey of work-life outcomes, The Australian Work Life Index, have just been released. Over 1400 people were surveyed randomly to gather their views on their work life and how it affects people on a social level. The results showed that work life pressures are widespread with many believing that work sometimes, often, or always affects their lives outside of work. To talk further about the Work Life Index, we spoke to Professor Barbara Pocock from the University of South Australia, who helped conduct the study. She explains that there were some surprising results in the survey that the government should take note of.
