A festival celebrating women will begin this weekend in the Queensland town of Biloela, 600 kilometres northwest of Brisbane.
Woman of the World Festival, or WOW, will include discussion panels, art, entertainment, and workshops on women’s empowerment.

This year, the festival focuses on gendered violence in regional areas, and will celebrate the Nadesalingman family, who lived in a detention centre from 2018 to 2022.
