At the APEC summit this week Prime Minister Tony Abbott said he wants to strike a free trade deal with China within the next 12 months. The agreement would liberalise access between China and Australia’s markets for goods and services and investment.

But a free trade expert from New Zealand says her country’s agreement with China hasn’t all been smooth sailing.While there has been a boom in agriculture; there have also been some downsides to the free trade agreement.
