The Australian Defence Department and AusAid are snuggling up closer in what some aid agencies see as a dangerous move. Both departments will share intelligence under a Strategic Partnership Agreement. But what about when that crisis is in an area of conflict like Afghanistan or Palestine? Could closer ties with the military compromise the safety of aid workers, or compromise their neutrality and integrity?
