When a person is convicted of a crime, the most accepted form of punishment is a prison sentence. But a new parliamentary roundtable which is scheduled to be held in Adelaide tomorrow, will be questioning whether or not this popular form of criminal ‘rehabilitation’, is right.

Justice reinvestment is a modern way of dealing with our increasing prison population in Australia. Greens Senator Penny Wright, who is hosting the roundtable along with MLC Tammy Franks, explained to The Wire what justice reinvestment is all about.
