This week saw yet another example of the difficulty in getting rape accusations to stick hard enough to enable victims to have their day in court, with the Bulldogs case failing because the police could not produce enough evidence to satisfy the burden of proof requirements of our court system. Vanessa Swan from rape and sexual assault centre Yarrow Place says rape is a special case and there need to be changes to the way it is dealt with legally.
