With a teaching strike coming up later this month, the issue of why there is a shortage of teachers in South Australian schools is becoming more eminent. The Australian Education Union’s Correna Haythorpe explains whether it’s because of a lack of appeal about pay, or simply not enough funding from the government. President of the South Australian Secondary Principals Association, Jim Davies, also gave his insight on if the issue is only present in public schools.
