The people of the Northern Rivers region of NSW have been celebrating their temporary reprieve from fracking after the New South Wales government suspended Metgasco’s approval to drill at Bentley. Integral to the campaign were local Aboriginal people. One of their leaders, Jarmbi Githubul, says the ongoing daily significance of connection to country is key to the campaign.
