Estimates say up to half of all Indigenous people aren’t actually enrolled to vote, while statistics show around half a million eligible young Australians aren’t enrolled either. Meanwhile, the deadline for enrolment is 8pm local time on Monday 12th of August. Emma Rennie investigates why so many youths and Indigenous Australians are choosing not to have their vote counted in this year’s federal election.
