The Albanese Government announced on Monday this week that they will abolish almost 500 nuisance tariffs from July 1^st this year.

Some of the products included in the cut are: washing machines, fridge-freezers, protective footwear, toothbrushes, menstrual and sanitary products, x-ray film, fishing reels and toasters.

According to the Australian Government, removing these tariffs will save businesses over $30 million in compliance costs each year.
