Where’s the sun
As the world readies itself to face the reality of global climate change those in the alternative energy source field are desperately scrambling to assure public and governmental support for their particular fuel. Recently the debate in Australia has centred on the prospect of going nuclear but this week saw a worldwide conference on Wind Power held in Adelaide restore some of the balance. However, one energy alternative, which seems to have slipped by the wayside, is solar power. Canadian Environmentalist, Doctor David Suzuki and Professor Geoff Smith of the University of Technology in Sydney believe that the three alternatives of Nuclear, Wind and Solar need to be scrutinised.
