Interest rate rises and petrol prices are a double whammy, especially for those living on the ever expanding margins of our cities.A national conference today is looking at the issues around the future of fuels and transport. Dr Jago Dodson from Griffith University has done the only Australian research on the impact of rising fuel prices – he’s come up with a demographic tool which colour codes the areas most hurting, a bit like the ones we’re getting used to seeing showing the increasing effects of the drought.
