Rural indigenous community’s have some of the highest rates of Hepatitis C infection in Australia. Now the Ilbijerri theatre group is taking their play “Chopped Liver” across the country to spread the message about avoiding the spread of the virus. The black comedy was written in collaboration with several health professionals in 2006. Previously, only staged in Victoria – it’s director hopes the national run, starting today will promote stronger health awareness in remote communities.
