The Wire

Yesterday on the Wire we heard from Jay Griffiths, an author and adventurer who’s been in Australia as a guest of the Festival of Ideas. She has spent a lot of her life seeking out the last traces of wildness in today’s world, living with remote communities of indigenous people in many countries including Australia. She’s written two books, one about wildness and one about time. She believes that Western society has made time a form of slavery.
