Western Australia finally decriminalises brothels

While it’s legal to be a sex worker in Western Australia, brothels have only just been decriminalized, after many years of debate. This means employees in the sex industry now have access to basic employee rights and better health standards. The legislation was passed this week but some critics say it will lead to a proliferation of mini brothels in the suburbs.
