Author, historian and former Keating speechwriter Don Watson has followed up his treatise on the decay of public language with a dictionary of what he calls weasel words. He says our language is becoming so modelled on the meaningless jargon of the business world that we really don’t know waht is going on, and that the media is partly to blame. He says they should stop being so opinionated and get back to digging out the truth from behind the jargon.
