Radovan Karadzic is one of the world’s most wanted war criminals but he’s been living free, and in disguise for ten years. The former Bosnian Serb leader was nabbed this week and will now face 11 counts at the The UN tribunal in the Hague. Among other things he is wanted for his part in the Srebenica massacre in which 8000 men and boys died. He may be villain to most but he’s hero to some , with supporters already rallying against his arrest in Belgrade. Professor of International law at ANU Don Rothwell says his arrest may spark some unrest but he will be kept and tried at the Hague, out of the way of such politics.
