Wagga Wagga on edge as water approaches top of levee

The largest inland city in New South Wales, Wagga Wagga, is holding its breath as floodwaters approach the top of its levee banks. The flood is predicted to peak 6pm on Monday evening at 10.9 meters. The city’s levee is just a little higher than that, and engineers are cautiously optimistic that the levee will hold.
