There have been calls from medical experts in NSW for a bracelet tracking system to be in place in Western Australia. This is to help strengthen hotel quarantines after a hotel security guard has been suspected to have the UK strain of COVID-19 and the state is now going under a 5-day lockdown. At the moment, bracelets are only given to those who the WA police may think could cause harm to the public.
Erielle Sudario asked Curtin University’s Pro Vice-Chancellor of Health Sciences Professor Archie Clements the difference between house arrest bracelets to quarantine bracelets.
