Amazing work done by World Food Prize recipient Dr Howarth Bouis and his team has changed basic food staple crops for Asia and Africa in a way that gives children all the vitamins and trace elements they currently miss out on.

23% of children die because of nutrition deficiencies, and these new crops from Harvest Plus , the organisation that Dr Bouis has founded, can be rolled out in poor countries to prevent an extraordinary amount of suffering.  We just have to convince people to grow and eat these new crops.
