An anti-terror TV ad from the Middle East went viral on YouTube with 459k views over the weekend.
The 3-minute Ramadan advert by Zain Group, a Kuwaiti mobile telecommunications giant, features Emirati pop singer Hussain Al Jassmi and survivors of bombings across the region confronting a suicide bomber. The video encourages people to be resilient and “worship your God with love, not terror”.
It has been drawing criticism on the appropriateness of using images of victims and not addressing the political reasons behind terrorism.
