A Vietnamese family which have lived and worked in Australia for more than a decade are at risk of deportation because they’re sponsor has abandoned them.
The Nguyen family moved to the New South Wales regional town of Bathurst, 200 kilometres west of Sydney, where they established their home and popular restaurant.
The family claims their sponsor racked up mass debts and has now has left them to fend for themselves against the threat of losing their home and being forced back to Vietnam.
The Department of Immigration was contacted for comment, and haven’t received a response at the time of producing the program.
