We know that serving during wartime can cause post traumatic stress disorder. But what are the other underlying effects of war? At the annual Vietnam Veterans’ National Congress, held today in Launceston, the Minister for Veteran Affairs, Alan Griffin, announced a family study, that focuses around this very question. Ron Coxon, National President of the Vietnam Veteran’s Association gave his perpective, while Ric Johnstone, president of the Nuclear Veteran’s Association, expressed his frustration that people affected by nuclear testing were not included in the study.
