Victoria recognises Indigenous water rights

Yesterday the Victorian Government released their Water for Victoria plan, which included actions recognising Aboriginal values of water as a resource.
Murray Lower Darling Rivers Indigenous Nations or MLDRIN made a submission to the discussion paper and are pleased with the results, which was published earlier this year.
The plan includes a commitment of $5 million towards the establishment of an Aboriginal Water Unit for Victoria.
