Victoria joins others states to recognise rights of same sex parents

Victoria’s parliament is currently debating a bill designed to recognise the rights of same sex parents. One pressing issue for lesbian couples has been the difficulty in accessing fertility clinics. Up until now Victorian gay couples have sought interstate services. Many states including NSW have reformed the rules and now offer more choice for same sex partners. But gay organisations say we still have a long way to go.
