Venerable Master Hsing Yun one of the most influential Buddhist Masters today will be conducting the Opening Ceremony of the Pagoda of Heavenly Realm at Chung Tian Temple in Queensland. The seven-level traditional Chinese-style Pagoda is unique to Queensland and will be a place where descendants can pay respects to their ancestors. Master Hsing Yun – the founder of Foguangshan Buddhist Order and the leading master of Humanistic Buddhism – will be bestowed an honourary citizenship of Australia by Brisbane Lord Mayor Campell Newman at the ceremony. Master Hsing Yun speaks about the relevance of Buddhism in today’s society and the conflict in Burma at present.
