The Arts sector continues to suffer through the COVID recession and latest federal budget has brought no respite.

Despite some modest funding increases to a few national arts institutions, the sector so far hasn’t received any further support since the package announced by the government several months ago.

Experts also argue many in the sector won’t benefit from the government’s wage subsidy scheme for apprentices and trainees under-35s, designed to kick off a private sector recovery.
