Twenty Oh Three. Do those words mean anything to you? If not, a group of Sydney based peace activists wants to remind you that on the 20th of March, 2003, Iraq was invaded. The Twenty O Three Iniative aims to demonstrate disapproval of the US led war and its policies in the Middle East through a month long vigil outside the US Consulate in Syndey starting today. A number of peace collectives will stage a rolling protest outside the consulate – they’ll be calling on members of the public to sign a petition to be sent to George Bush on the three year anniversary of the invasion.
