Violence, corruption, and a bad reputation, are just some of the issues that sex workers had to deal with prior to their decriminalization, more than a decade ago. Theoretically since 1995, brothels have operated legally, however sex workers still face tough restrictions, that make their business very hard to operate. and some were forced to go underground. The Wire’s Hagar Cohen spoke to Rebecca, a sex worker, about the prejudice against her industry.
