From today unsigned Australian bands will get a big leg up, with the announcement that they will now be eligible to be part of AirIT – a project to get Australian music played on community radio. The announcement was made at Adelaide’s Fuse festival which opened this week – it’s a music event showcasing unsigned Australian bands. Nadia Onus, Communications Co-ordinator with the Australian Music Radio Airplay Project explains just what this will mean for emerging bands.
