Unlimited Graphics – is it feasible AND is it marketable?

A little over a month ago, Brisbane-based technology company Euclideon released a youtube video unveiliing the progress made on their software ‘Unlimited-Detail’, which has had nearly 3 million hits worldwide.

Within the video the CEO Bruce Dell is making huge claims, and causing a lot of controversy. The company says that they can make computer graphics 100,000 times better then what is currently available, and bridge the gap between real life detail and detail in video game environments. This can feasibly make all game environments in future look like real places, without any hint of pixilation. What is even more confusing is that the company has since gone into hiding, working on finishing their product and not taking any further interviews in a self-imposed media blackout. A strange move, or marketing genius?
