Education Minister, Dan Tehan, recently announced massive changes to the prices of certain higher education courses in an attempt to have more graduates landing jobs amidst the high unemployment rate.

In response, a student-led protest was organised online and was held at 1pm outsider the Fisher Library at the University of Sydney. Despite the organisers mandating all attenders practice strict COVID-19 health guidelines, Police shut it down within 30 minutes.

Tehan slashed the annual fees of non-saturated industry fields such as English and Mathematics teachers to as low as $3,700, whilst raising the annual cost of degrees such as law and communications to as high as $14,500.
