UN report
The Federal Government’s been given a fail mark for its performance at the United Nations. An independently collated report card shows our government has little to boast about in the areas of climate change, human rights and foreign aid. The document by the United Nations Association of Australia was written by academics, non-government organisations. It gives the government a D for climate change and the global movement of people and a C for human rights and foreign aid. Australia fares better in the peacekeeping category with a B, but did not receive an A in any of the 10 areas examined. Kerry Klimm spoke to John Langmore, President of the UNAA about the report and what does it say about the Australian Government.
