Tomorrow is the United Nations International Day of Peace and across the country organisations are gearing up for vigils and celebrations. Schools are also getting involved. As part of the global peace school movement developed by the UN, charity group Save the Children was given a mandate to name UN global peace schools in Australia. Save the Children South Australia have developed the program from its beginnings in WA in 2005 to recognise one school per year as a global peace school.
