Experts have claimed the UK’s incoming ban on Chinese tech giant Huawei’s 5G networks is a US foreign policy driven decision that will cause unprecedented friction between China and the west in terms of technological disruption.

The ban will also bring with it unpleasant geopolitical ramifications for the “Five Eye” nations.
