Community radio has existed in Australia for over thirty years and there are more than 350 individual stations around the country. In the United Kingdom, the community radio sector is, by comparison, still in its infancy with the first pilot project being trialled in 2002. So it’s not surprising that British experts are looking to the Australian experience. Interview with Janey Gordon who teaches radio broadcasting at the University of Bedfordshire, currently in Australia on a research trip to learn more about the Australian community radio sector.
