Uighur protest on 60th anniversary of Chinese rule

Today is the 60th anniversary of the Chinese Communist revolution, but not everybody is joining the celebration. It also marks the beginning of Chinese rule over the Uighur people, in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, which they identify as “East Turkistan”. Uighur demonstrators are today protesting around Australia and the world inculding South Australia’s Parliament House, for the region’s freedom and autonomy.
