Leader of the Movement for Democratic Change and Presidential hopeful, Morgan Tsvangirai, has withdrawn from Zimbabwe’s presidential election. He hopes his departure will end the continued violence and bloodshed his supporters have been subjected to. Tsvangirai claims even if he were to win, he’d be prevented from taking office by current President and dictator, Robert Mugabe. With the main voice of dissent silenced, where to now for Zimbabwe?
