Wangan and Jagalingou Traditional Owners are attempting to force out Adani from occupying their traditional land in the Galilee Basin.

Wangan and Jagalingou representative Adrian Burragubba issued an eviction notice to Adani Australia at their Brisbane office on Thursday August 20.

The eviction notice claims that Adani is committing ‘serious breaches’ in the way it manages land and community health and claims Adani’s actions are unlawful under tribal law.

Today, a group of Wangan and Jagalingou people enforced the eviction notice by protesting outside the Carmichael coal mine, blocking access to the site’s entrance.
