Children as young as 8 years old continue to be used front line fodder in up to a dozen conflicts around the world, despite the Capetown Principles -meant to stamp out this sort of abuse – being drawn up over a decade ago. This week the international community will meet in Paris to create a new set of guidelines. But will this help the estimated 250, 000 children soldiers literally fighting for their lives?
